Winchester 1873

Post by dddrees » Fri Dec 21, 2018 10:50 am

I've been feeling a little nostalgic lately and the more lever guns I get the more I seem to want. Anyway it started with a Golden Boy a couple of years ago, then a Winchester 9422, then a Big Boy Silver a few months back. Anyway all of this finely led me to looking at reproductions and here I am. I was and still am considering an Original Henry from Henry but I decided to go with a caliber and calibers (357,38). So anyway I actually choose the 1866 first, but as the Winchester 1873 2018 Shot Show versions became harder to find I decided I better do that too. So the 1866 will be another couple of weeks but in the meantime I'll just have to somehow find some way to be content with the 1873 for now.

That is a beautiful rifle. Congratulations on getting a rifle like that. Going to shoot it? I would have to if it was mine. :o :D

Thank you, I really wanted something with a real nice looking stock. That's the plan. Weather being what it is it maybe a while though.

I've been thinking of getting one of those for years. Congrats on a superb reproduction. Oh, yeah, you couldn't stop me from shooting such a rifle.

Life's to short, you really should get you one. Actually I've been telling people I'm getting those toys I really want now because retirement isn't that far off. I'm checking my list off now.

Very nice! I need to figure out a way to increase my Gun Budget. I have my eyes on one of those model 94s.
