interesting, thanks for bringing info about a 500 to the forum .... the Big Horn Armory Scout Rifle chambered for 500 S&W looks like an interesting rifle .... with an MSRP of $2,799.00 it certainly should be .... not knowing much of anything about the 500 I did a bit of research .... the link below is to a test between the 45-70 and 500 S&W .... the results of the test make me glad we bought a Henry 45-70

Let's see. Do I want a $2800 rifle or a happy home?

I think I will keep my happy home and be content with my Henry .45-70 and .44 Mag Big Boy.

No takers here!

Big Horn is a very neat company, and they also make this rifle in .460 s&W. We have a handgun chambered in .460, and it would be neat to have a lever in it. However, my shoulders have never done anything bad enough to me to warrant punishing them with one of these haha. I do find it great that many of the small manufacturers out there are willing to make unique firearms and bring a level of creativity to the market that some of the larger companies don’t.

Think for $2800 I’d look at Turnbull, RPP or Regan Nonneman.
