Slippery butt

Post by bandit1250 » Thu Nov 01, 2018 8:05 pm

This is not about what it sounds like. :o  I went in the woods today with my CZ Lux 22 for squirrel. Every time I was getting comfortable for a shot and using my shooting sticks the butt with that lousy plastic butt plate would start to slid on my shoulder. I thought about cutting the stock and putting a thin Pachmayr rifle pad on but I don't plan on hunting squirrel enough this season to do that right now. My fix may be considered a band-aid for the cure but it works and I can live with it for now. I got a piece of the no skid material that sticks on steps and cut a piece to fit the butt plate and put that on it. No slipping now. Doesn't look to bad for a 3 minute fix.

I don't think it would look good on my brass butt.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I've used the 3M stair non-skid tape on my air rifles , 22's and most target guns . It works great :D :D
