Thanks for the links but I tried this before. When you call the dealers listed on the dealer locator near my location this is what you get...
"Yes we are a Uberti Dealer. We don't keep any in stock but we can order one for you."
Yeah, I can order one too for 200-300 dollars cheaper. The whole point from buying from a brick & mortar store is to be able to handle and see what I am purchasing. Then they wonder why I don't want to do business with them.

Finding a store that carrys a Uberti in stock might be tough. The only place I know of that might have one would be a Cabelas or of course a trip to one of the bigger gun shops like Buds and Im pretty sure that you wouldnt want to do that. I have another thought that might help you. Im sure there is some cowboy action shooting somewhere in your area. One might attend one of those shoots and see if someone there might be available for seeing one they are using. Just a thought. Al

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Good advice from Al52. I've talked to my local dealer on carrying Uberti, but he says it takes forever to get one in stock. Apparently the supply is pretty thin and he just doesn't get enough requests to justify carrying Uberti. A Cowboy shoot is definitely your best bet to see one.

We have Cowboy Shoots once a month at the gun club I belong to. I guess I'll have to check it out.

Somebody stop me please!
But I am possibly moving on the JM Marlin .357 I posted a picture of.
I have PMd the owner and want to get a year of Mfg. on it.
Gritting my teeth and puckering the 'you know what' but it looks like a nice JM .357.
Pep talk appreciated!

Nope. Don't over think it. Just move on it. You'll be fine. Just think how much fun you'll have with it.

Might not be a bad call. Even though I have been considering new, I still have not ruled out a used one yet. If I find one at a price I like, it may have a new home.

Yep -it will probably come down to price - I might start with a 'you keep all the accessories and I'll give ya X amount' - but the case is nice. The scope and mount mean nothing however.

Serial number of the Marlin puts it at 1992 year of mfg - so it’s a solid JM.

Somebody had to say it.
