Carl Gustaf 1900 6,5x55

Post by ruhler » Thu Dec 21, 2017 12:23 pm

As its Christmas all my guns are cleaned and ready for 2018. I want to show my "Customized" Carl Gustaf 1900 in caliber 6,5x55, that I bought from my Uncle a few years back, he bought it new in 1977, he was a found grousehunter and as a perfectionist he is. He let Norma change barrel in 1988 to a semimatch barrel from Schultz & larsen 27,5inches long. When I bought the rifle it has only been fired about 50shots in over 30years, and about 20shots with this barrel. The scope is a old leupold vari-x 6,5-20x40AO, the trigger was crips but hard at around 1,5kilograms so I let a old retired gunsmith that used to work at the husqvarna/carlgustaf factory when these rifles were new rebuild the trigger with matchgrade parts (think he bought alot of parts when they moved the production) and polish/tune it in so now it breaks at 0,8kg clean and crisp. Since it was a old woodstock and I wanted the best performance out of this rifle I let a good friend of mine bed this stock and pillarbed with aluminium pillars. This rifle is extremly accurate and the action is so incredible smooth on all swedishbuilt carl gustaf or husqvarna 1900 (they sold the production but quality was never the same and now its called zoli, viking and such). This is a rifle that will never leave me.

It's a real beauty. I'm not familiar with it but I bet we will have a few folks that will know all about it.

Another beautiful rifle, ruhler. We've know that as the Husqvarna or the "Huskie" over here. Remember seeing some back in the 80s, but not a lot of them around for sale. Well made, quality rifle.
