Both the Marlins, the 1895CB and CBA have tapered octagon barrels. There is at least a pound and a half difference between my CB and the 8 pounds, 10 ounces listed for the H010CC.

After shooting the Marlin using lower range leveraction pressure loads and even the 1600 fps trapdoor loads, I'd like to try a Color Case Hardened Henry.

There is a big difference in shooting the Marlin vs the Henry in 45/70. The big CCH Henry really soaks up the recoil a lot more than the Marlin - that's why I put a pad on my 1895CBA - it's a kicker even with the Cowboy 45/70 loads. I think the lighter Marlin would make for a much better hunting rifle, though - easier to carry and just seems more like a "working" gun than that big, beautiful CCH Henry....
