Savage 6A practice

Got out on the back porch this morning for a little practice with this 1939 gill gun with the really tiny front sight - could barely see it at all  . Haven't shot it in a couple three years. Shooting from about 40 yds with the rifle resting on the railing and me on my knees. Not the steadiest position as you can tell from the 2 flyers but at least everything was on the paper. Full tube (14) of CCI mini-mag HP.

I wish I could figure out how to put a scope on it without resorting to duck tape or hose clamps. I've got an old Tasco rimfire scope just sitting in a drawer that I'd be happy with. ;)

Looks like fun. I really like shooting rimfire.

I've done that in the past. They all require drilling or machining of the receiver, which I don't want to have done. My preference would be a set of rings that simply clamp on to the receiver without any machining being needed.
