Next CZ For The Range

Post by Sir Henry » Tue Dec 08, 2020 2:36 pm

This is the same 452-2E CZ American as last time but now fitted with a new Leupold VX 3i 4.5-14x50 mm scope mounted with Warne Maxima 722m high rings.

It also has a Leupold Mark 4 Anti-Reflection Device. It’s primary purpose is so the target can’t see you but it also has anti-glass glare properties. This time of year I’m in shadows as well as the target but with a bright sky.

This might be the ammo for the day. If not it will be Norma Tac-22.

I’ll be shooting my standard 50 yard small bore rifle targets at 50 yards. Three double targets for a total of 6. Three rounds each for a total of 18. Then all 18 rounds will be measured as one target.

I have a couple other CZ’s that will be getting range time and then I’ll switch back to offhand Henry Classic.

Nice set up Sir Henry. The 452 American CZ's are nice looking rifles and rarely see one that don't shoot well. Is that scope a side parallax model? I haven't been paying attention to the new ones. I am still stuck on the older Leupolds.

That's a serious scope, Gene. Should do that 452 American justice. Love that RWS ammo, too.

Thanks. No it has a fixed parallax at 60 yards.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

That they do. RWS pellets are one of the standards in the air gun world.

Since my sand bag broke I needed to do something in the next nine days (9 days rain forecast) so I ordered a Harris bi-pod. I should have it in a week.

I also ordered two of these.

I ordered one of those stands like that from Amazon but I wish I would have gotten that one. Mine works fine but it has 3 different pockets on each side rather than the adjustability

Gene, I'm sure you're aware of this, but, bipods can sometimes do weird things to POA/POI when rested on a hard surface. I went thru that with a varmint rifle I had some years ago. .22's may be more forgiving. Just a heads up.
