Rossi RS22 Upgrades

Post by LeverLover » Sun Nov 08, 2020 9:14 pm

I recently picked up a Rossi RS22 when it was on sale for $99 a few months ago even though the comb was too high to line up the sights without rotating the rifle about 45 degrees outboard. I love the Marlin 60 but really wanted a traditional magazine fed, not the Ruger 1022, rifle. I just finished making a replacement stock for it. I lowered the comb a quarter inch and lengthened the pull about three-quarter inch. It feels more like a full size rifle now. I plan to take it to the range soon to sight it in since I just laid hands on two bricks of ammo. The honey colored stock looks a bit strange and maybe I should have stained it a darker color but it is distinctive now and it looks more like the Marlin. I had to find something to do with my time.
