My fault Sir Henry for not stating this is a little more rare 39 Marlin. It is a 39D. The only 39 to have a fore arm band instead of a cap. Some folks claim they are similar to a Mountie but have a pistol grip and fore arm band. Very light and compact and is perfect in my scabbard on my 4-wheeler.
