I got a phone call from my local range yesterday asking me to stop by when I got a chance. They had something they wanted to show me.
When I walked in the door the owner showed me a blank 4473 and told me to fill it out.
I take care of the traps at my local indoor range. Clearing the trap mouths of lead build-up.
I've gotten it down to about an hours work to clear 15 lanes.
I've not asked for payment for doing this task, and when the owner has asked in the past, I've just told him that I enjoy being able to shoot for free, and I also enjoy not being charged a transfer fee, even if I did not buy the gun there.
Well, I filled out the 4473 and was given a brand new Mossberg Shockwave in 12ga.
Seems the owner was listening when I was talking about them last week.
I already had the .410bore, and now I have the 12ga.
Time to start looking for a 20ga...
It's nice to be appreciated.
Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

Appreciation goes a looong ways. It seems you earned that shotgun through a good approach to working together. Happy for you.

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

Good for you.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

It's always nice when someone expresses their appreciation for your good deeds when you are not expecting compensation. It makes them feel good and it makes you feel good as well. Congratulations.
