New Toy

Picked up Mossberg Patriot today in 30-06. If this gun shoots as good as it looks, I will be happy. Will be mounting a Burris 3-9x on it tonight.

Congratulations on the toy. Looks like it has scope mounts on it. Like Mossberg guns and hope this one works for you.

It shot pretty well 1.25" group off hand at 60 yards with last 3 shots. Started to rain so I quit after 10-12 shots. About the best I can do with bad eyes and arthritic fingers. Gun can do better in the right hands. Trigger was crisp may have to adjust and lighten up as it is adjustable from 2to7 lbs. Love this gun so far.

That's a good looking gun in my caliber of choice. Your results are pretty good too.

Bought the identical rifle early last year.
Love that gun.
There is just something appealing to me about real wood and steel.
Polymers are for toys in my opinion.
