First Time Out

Post by OldSarge » Fri May 13, 2016 6:58 pm

Took my new AR7 to the range to break it in. Used CCI Mini-Mags, worked great. The iron sights where very good. Then I used a ten dollar red dot sight, and after adjusting it work also, however, the iron sights were better. Nice price, excellent product.

Welcome aboard Sarge, the AR7 sure is an interesting rifle. I might find that I need one if the owners here keep saying good things about them.

Sarge, I'm glad you like your AR7. What kind of cheap red dot did you get? I got one from Crosman last year for ten bucks. It was pretty cheap, but it worked great on one of my air rifles. I should try it on a .22 just for fun.

Daytime Dave:
I bought the red dot from Optics Planet on sale. Like the fellow on youtube, I attached a cheekrest/pouch which works well. The small pouch holds the sight and a box of 50 rounds. I also did the modification to the ammo loops and can put two magazines on the outside. Great idea from this fellow, recommend to all.
