AR7 Fiber Optic Front Sight

Post by MarkB » Fri Jan 24, 2020 10:24 pm

I just put a fiber optic front sight on my AR7. It's a Williams .406" high and a narrow width that fits the AR7 barrel. I had to remove about 1/16" from the dovetail as the AR7 doesn't have a standard 3/8" dovetail. I did not touch the barrel dovetail except for blunting the top edges of the dovetail. This is a side shot of the sight. Note that there is a small space at the base of the sight at the bottom of the dovetail due to the non- standard dovetail. I'll try to get a look along the barrel so you can see the glow from the fiber optic. I need to wait for the sun to rise again. I haven't fired the AR7 with this sight yet.

Will it still fit in the stock when broken down?
