That is exactly the term I use quite frequently. Getting to this stage is absolutely part of my enjoyment. But hey, this is after all the culmination of all the time I've spent hunting for and researching what I hope will provide me with a bit of fun every once in awhile. More hits than misses is the goal and I am looking for keepers. Got to Luv it when it all works out.

The wood looks good. The barrel is a bit shinier than I would wish, but overall the gun does look very nice.


The person at the FFL said the rifle looked beautiful. I told him that was definitely one of my priorities with this rifle.

I am thinking a bit of patina on the receiver would be a good thing.

I read new posts in oldest to newest order. So hadn't seen it at the time of my earlier writing in this post. Anyway, yes I have seen it there and it is gorgeous!
