Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry
Just starting to consider getting one
Re: Just starting to consider getting one
I just watched the first half of Part 1, and my take-away is that Henry basically gave it to him, and he graciously accepted it and became the owner that way. Part 1, by the way, was made 3 years ago, and the engraving pattern is totally different than the one in the current Henry catalogue. Part 1 is worth watching; man, that guy can shoot!

So are you. On another topic, you're avatars change as often as the weather in New England. But, unlike the weather, I always like your changes.RanchRoper wrote:He's a dead shot with a rifle or pistol.

As he said he just is not a fan of a tube loadier vs a side gate loading lever gun. I know this is a tube loader as well but in this case this is the one that was made that way and it's historically correct to load by the tube.

Thanks for the GunJoker pun.

Re: Just starting to consider getting one
I made up my mind. First I decided and this wasn't a big surprise. No matter which one I decided one wasn't going to satisfy me. Kind of knew that going in. Secondly I decided that the Yellow Boy or 1866 which was the first one that always comes to mid when I think good looking is the one I will get first. Thirdly I decided I want the ones with the better grade stocks so in this case it's the Winchester 1866 Shot Show 2018 Delux version.
So that's the first one and I guess I have another decision to make after I get that one.
Thanks for all your help.
Cheers,
Dan
